Winter in Val Gardena is a unique experience. The winter landscape stretches out before your eyes, almost like a fairy tale: hundreds of kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes equipped with the most modern lifts. Enjoy fantastic panoramic slopes, natural toboggan runs, snow parks and secluded hiking trails, all surrounded by the magnificent mountains of the Dolomites.

Sellaronda
It takes 26 km to circle the huge Sella group massif. The route starts 200 m from our hotel with the Sassolungo cable car. We'll take you there with our hotel shuttle service. Upon arrival at Ciampinoi, you can decide on the green or the orange route, clockwise or anti-clockwise. You can extend these routes from Corvara to Santa Croce in the direction of La Villa, or in Arabba to the Porta Vescovo run or the Marmolada, from Colfosco to the Val Stella Alpina, or from Canazei to Buffaure. The Sellaronda is the ultimate skiing paradise in the Dolomites.
It is best to plan 3-4 hours to complete the Sellaronda.

Val Gardena Ronda
Not as well-known as the Sellaronda, but also not as crowded, the Val Gardena Ronda circuit is also just 200 metres from our hotel. We can take you to the Val Gardena Ronda Express station Seceda towards Col Raiser in our hotel shuttle. From there, join the "Longia" 10 km slope towards Ortisei. After 5 minutes you will reach the Alpe di Siusi lift. From there you have several possible routes before reaching the Saltria. Take the chairlift down to Zallinger, from where you can take a bus to Monte Pana. Return to Santa Cristina via the Monte Pana lift, where we will pick you up and bring you back to the hotel.

Santa Cristina Ski School
If you are still a ski novice, you have the opportunity to book a group course or a private ski instructor for yourself and your family at the Santa Cristina ski school. Here you will also find information about children's ski lessons, individual lessons and guided tours if desired. In addition, the ski school offers a nursery which can accommodate the little ones for a few hours.

Cross-country skiing at the Monte Pana cross-country ski centre
There is a new cross-country centre at Monte Pana, Santa Cristina's closest mountain. The tracks are completely new with a modern design to offer a variety of possibilities for both leisure skiers, as well as cross-country professionals. A total 30 km of ski-runs challenge visitors with demanding ascents, fast descents but also with leisurely routes. The panorama from Monte Pana is romantic and exciting. It is located at the foot of the Sassolungo.
Family sledding trips among the fabulous Dolomites
The range of sledding slopes in Val Gardena are sure to provide endless fun for the whole family.
In Val Gardena there are many opportunities to glide across snowy meadows or through forests.
Attention: for safety reasons, sledding is prohibited on ski slopes!
Night sledding in Val Gardena?
Also possible! You will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the Alpe di Siusi by minibus. From there, you will be driven by snowcat to an alpine cabin. Dinner will be served there in a cosy atmosphere. Armed with a sled and a headlamp, you’ll then speed down 4 km of slopes – tons of fun guaranteed! After that you will be driven back to the hotel.
